Emergency checklist
Online scam emergency checklist: what to do before panic decides for you.
If you already clicked, paid, shared a code, sent documents or received a threat, the priority is to stop the damage from growing. Do the calm steps first, then review the case.
If there is immediate physical danger, contact local emergency services. HISafe.AI is not a substitute for police, bank fraud teams, legal advice or urgent mental health support.
If you already sent money
- Stop sending additional payments, fees, taxes or recovery charges.
- Contact your bank, card provider, wallet or payment app through official channels.
- Save transaction IDs, wallet addresses, bank details, usernames and screenshots.
If you shared a password, code or login link
- Change the password from a trusted device and enable two-factor authentication.
- Log out of other sessions in the affected account.
- Do not share one-time codes with anyone in chat, even if they claim to be support.
If you sent documents or private photos
- Do not send more files to “prove” anything or to stop pressure.
- Preserve the conversation and usernames before blocking or deleting.
- Review privacy settings on social media and remove public contact details where possible.
If it is sextortion or blackmail
- Do not pay under panic. Payment can create more pressure.
- Do not send more images, calls, contacts or personal data.
- Preserve the threat wording, account names, payment demands and timestamps.
What to send for review
Send the relevant message, the type of pressure, what they want from you, what you already shared and what deadline they gave. Remove passwords, bank codes, full card numbers, intimate images and unnecessary documents.
