Marketplace payment pressure
Check a marketplace buyer before opening courier or payment links.
Fake buyers often sound polite and ready to pay. The risk starts when they push a courier link, refund page, payment confirmation form or insurance fee that asks for your card or bank details.
Common warning signs
- The buyer wants to arrange their own courier immediately.
- You are asked to enter card details to receive money.
- The payment page is outside the marketplace app.
- The buyer creates urgency or says the driver cannot come until you confirm.
What to send for review
Send the buyer message, the courier/payment link text, screenshots of the flow and the marketplace name. Do not enter card numbers or bank codes into unknown forms.
